  • Discounted Personal Software Purchases - SLCC has been able to work out an agreement with several Software Vendors for low cost use on home computers.
  • Family Medical LeavePart-time employees are also eligible to apply for Family Medical Leave. Other criteria as outlined in College Policy will need to be met before leave can be granted. This is an unpaid leave for up to 12 weeks. For more information, contact the Benefits Department in the Human Resources Office.
  • Grand Theatre  - Part-time employees, with a OneCard, can purchase tickets up to four tickets at 1/2 of the regular price for shows the Grand Theatre produces. The Grand also has a Preview Wednesday performance for every season production; tickets are half-price for everyone. Outside productions appearing at the Grand do not qualify for this discount.   • Sporting EventsThere are 25 tickets at the ticket booth for faculty (full time and adjunct) and staff. After these tickets are distributed, employees pay the full price of admission.
  • Supplemental Retirement Accounts - 403(b) Plan, 401(k) Plan and 457(b) PlanSalt Lake Community College offers several supplemental retirement accounts. All SLCC employees who work more than 20 hours a week are eligible to make contributions up to the annual maximum per calendar year. Tuition Waiver - Staff

Part-time hourly employees will be allowed Tuition Waiver for themselves, for one class per term not to exceed five credit hours on a space available basis. All fees will be paid by the employee. Classes taken should not be during the employee's scheduled hours of work. Workstudy students are excluded from this benefit.

  • Eligibility - Employee must have three years of consecutive service with an average of 20 hours a week.  This benefit is available for the next term following the three-year anniversary of the employee. Employee must have a current active assignment
  • Authorization - Human Resources will verify eligibility and sign all hourly Tuition Waivers.
