Abstract

General Education is shared curriculum. It provides broad exposure to multiple disciplines and forms the basis for developing important intellectual and civic capacities. It makes up the majority of course enrollments and guides most student enrollment decisions. It is perhaps our most important offering. Each fall semester the College offers roughly 220 general education courses with over 46,000 enrollments.

This report provides enrollment numbers for all general education courses from fall 2010 through fall 2015. The report is structured around the three general education areas. After a high-level overview, each section provides a course-by-course breakdown of enrollment through fall semesters for the past six years (Fall 2010 through Fall 2015). It also provides the average annual percent change and the total 5-year percent change.
