Institutional Advancement supports, advances, enhances and promotes Salt Lake Community College and our students.

The Division of Institutional Advancement works to ensure the support of student success and seeks to improve the understanding of Salt Lake Community College's mission and impact in the community through the provision of onsite support, community outreach, faculty and staff support, communications, and the fostering of reciprocally rewarding relationships with our many constituencies including students, alumni, community partners, lawmakers, donors, parents and friends. We promote this advancement through strategic and programmatic planning, implementation and administration through the following departments:

Community Relations

The Office of Community Relations serves as the institutional liaison with external community, fostering reciprocal relationships that benefit both the College and its partners. We enhance the vitality of Salt Lake Community College and the neighborhoods we serve by connecting communities with college resources, building and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial partnerships, and strengthening communities through the success of our students.

Development and alumni

The Development and Alumni Office is responsible for increasing external awareness and involvement; fund raising; and stewardship of relationships and resources from our alumni, friends, supporters, and grantors. The department develops and submits contracts and proposals.

Institutional Marketing & Communication

The Institutional Marketing & Communication department delivers premier internal/external communication, institutional branding and marketing.
