Mission
The mission of the Payroll Office is to pay Salt Lake Community College employees in a timely and professional manner. We strive to inspire such confidence that your check is one less thing to worry about.
If there are questions, suggestions, changes or concerns, we are committed to assist you in a caring, respectful and confidential manner, with SLCC's goals and objectives in mind.
Paydays
SLCC pays on a semi-monthly basis (24 times a year) with paydays on the 7th and 22nd of the month. If these dates fall on a weekend or a Monday holiday, payday is on Friday.

Direct Deposit
As of March, 2025 direct deposit is required for ALL employees. This ensures timely and secure payment of wages and avoids any mailing delays and lost checks. Once you fill out the Direct Deposit Form and return it to the Payroll Office, your next paycheck will be deposited in your account(s).

Social Security
Social Security is paid at a rate of 6.2%
Medicare
Medicare is paid at a rate of 1.45%
