Creating Your Professional Portfolio

Resources to support you in developing your professional portfolio.

Expose Your Expertise

SLCC is predominantly a teaching institution, but we are also knowledge-makers.  Getting that knowledge out there is a challenge: understanding publishing processes; revising drafts for submission; and finding time to write!

Expose Your Expertise provides two types of support for all SLCC employees.

  • Understanding Publishing Course: information, resources, and brief assignments to take you through the process of submitting your writing for publication. Contact WAC to enroll.
  • Drop-In Writing Community: Use the power of peer pressure to get motivated to write!  Meets on 1st and 3rd third Fridays from 12noon to 1pm in the Professional Development Center.   Bring your lunch and get writing!

If the mechanics of standard edited English weigh on your writing confidence, use the resources below to ease your mind...and your writing.
