This research is part of a continuing effort to study the effectiveness of Salt Lake Community College’s (SLCC) Career and Technology Education (CTE) programs. Prior CTE studies can be found on the SLCC Institutional Research webpage.

This research looks at each specific CTE program at SLCC in more detail, focusing on workforce outcomes relative to poverty markers and comparing programs to each other. In addition, the difficulties of quantitatively evaluating CTE outcomes will be examined in detail. There are questions that seem answerable relating to CTE outcomes and questions that currently seem unanswerable in a rigorous statistical manner.
