Abstract

Students who completed a CTE program increased their quarterly earnings by an average of 63% within a year compared to an average of 23% for CTE students who did not complete. • This study only focuses on students who (1) earned a formal award from a credit CTE program or (2) did not complete an award but accumulated 7 semester credit hours or more of CTE in the 2013-2014 and 2014-15 academic years. • The results of this study are preliminary. By VFA definition those that have not taken a course at SLCC since Fall 2015 cannot be counted as ‘leavers’ until at least two full years have passed without completing a course. Thus, we won’t be able to calculate wage outcomes for the VFA completer-leaver cohort until Fall 2017.
