Salt Lake Community College encourages staff, faculty, and students to share their success and engage in professional development with the goal of advancing best practices in partnerships, initiatives, programs, and classrooms.

Conferences and journals are an opportunity for faculty to share their research, learn from other experts, and build connections across colleges and universities.

CONFERENCES

IARSLCE – International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement. IARSLCE’s primary purpose is to cultivate, encourage, and present research across all engagement forms and educational levels.

Campus Compact Annual Conference – Campus Compact convenes faculty, staff, and students to share about their work pursuing the public purposes of higher education.

Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities - CUMU’s mission ensures sustained attention to the exchange of information and ideas among member institutions about higher education’s role in urban and metropolitan settings.

National Youth Leadership Council – The council supports young people to become informed and engaged global citizens by participating in service-learning during their formative years.

AAC&U Conferences – The American Association of Colleges & Universities offers a series of annual conferences that foster reflection, discovery, innovation, and action on critical and emerging issues in undergraduate education.

Engagement Scholarship Consortium International Conference – This consortium works collaboratively to build strong university-community partnerships anchored in the rigor of scholarship and designed to help build community capacity. 

International Town Gown Association – This consortium unites universities and organizations that focus on the humanities, arts, and design in relation to democratic, public, and civic purposes of American higher education. The annual conferences provide opportunity for collaboration, and political, social, and cultural engagement.
