OVERCOMING IMPOSTER SYNDROME

Wednesday, February 21, 2024
2 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
SLCC Taylorsville Redwood Campus AAB 135 and Zoom

Imposter syndrome is a behavioral health phenomenon that causes one to self-doubt their abilities despite competence, intellect, and efforts. Societal factors and stereotypes often cause women and minorities to experience feelings of imposter syndrome more frequently and profoundly. These feelings not only reinforce one’s negative self-beliefs, but also cause stress, impact relationships, and may adversely affect your career.

In this workshop, under the guidance of a mental health professional, you can gain an understanding of the causes of imposter syndrome, reflect on your own unique feelings of imposterism, learn techniques for overcoming feelings of inadequacy, and discover ways to support others around you.

Stop feeling like a fraud - start trusting your intelligence, skills, and the value you bring!

Adjunct Faculty are invited to participate and will need to register in the SLCC Registration System (FD67 UWHEN Event).

Note: Don’t forget your gently used donations for UWHEN’s clothing drive, benefiting the Career Services Boutique.

Light refreshments provided.
