POSTING POLICY COMPLIANCE INITIATIVE
Beginning Monday, January 12, 2026 (Spring Semester start), the new Facilities Posting Procedure will begin to be enforced. This procedure works in conjunction with the College's Advertising & Posting Policy but goes into more detail and practical guidance about posted materials.
What we're asking of you
Please review the procedure and ensure compliance in your classrooms, offices, and shared spaces of any postings, signage, or freestanding signs you create, including postings and clings on doors and windows. If you're out of compliance, please begin making changes now.
Campus Facilities Managers, Student Services Campus Site Managers, Institutional Marketing, and Fix It are happy to work with you to answer questions and help you through this process.
Examples of compliant practices
- Get a date-stamp of approval at Student Services/Information desks or the Thayne Center before posting.
- Use only designated posting locations; one item per location.
- Limit postings to 14 days and remove them within 3 business days after an event.
- Do not post on glass, doors, walls, ceilings, or floors (unless floor graphics have prior approval). Classroom grip strips are for academic use only. Office grip strips are for department use only.
- In offices, use blue painter's tape on painted surfaces (no glass postings).
- Keep A-Frames/freestanding signs clear of entrances/walkways; remove promptly after use.
- For vinyl/window/wall clings, submit a Space Needs Request to Planning & Design for approval.

EV CHARGER PRICING UPDATES
At the beginning of Fall semester, 2025, changes were made to the pricing structure for using EV chargers on SLCC campuses. After listening to feedback and concerns from students, staff, and faculty, the Energy Management department has decided to adjust the EV charger pricing structure once again. These updates are intended to help reduce overall cost and make the use of campus EV chargers more realistic and accessible for everyone, while recouping enough of the maintenance costs to make the chargers financially viable on an ongoing basis.
