Staff Senate Elections
Staff Senate plays a vital role in representing staff voices and strengthening communication, engagement, and collaboration across Salt Lake Community College. Serving on Staff Senate is an opportunity to contribute to the college, grow professionally, and connect with colleagues from across SLCC.

Serving on Staff Senate allows you to represent staff perspectives, collaborate with colleagues across the college, develop leadership and governance skills, and help foster a culture of communication, recognition, and engagement.
Open Positions
The following Staff Senate positions are open for the current election cycle. Each position includes a brief description and term length.
- President: 1-year term (7/1/26–6/30/27) – Special Election. Provides leadership to Staff Senate, presides over meetings, and serves as a liaison between staff and college leadership.
- Employee Recognition Chair: 2-year term (7/1/26–6/30/28). Oversees staff recognition initiatives and programs.
- Events Chair: 2-year term (7/1/26–6/30/28). Plans and supports Staff Senate-sponsored events and activities.
- Employee Connections Chair: 2-year term (7/1/26–6/30/28). Supports initiatives that foster connection, inclusion, and engagement among staff.
- Part-Time Staff Delegate: 2-year term (7/1/26–6/30/28). Represents the perspectives and interests of part-time staff.
- Taylorsville Delegate: 2-year term (7/1/26–6/30/28). Represents staff from the Taylorsville campus.
- South City Delegate: 2-year term (7/1/26–6/30/28). Represents staff from the South City campus.
- Jordan Delegate: 2-year term (7/1/26–6/30/28). Represents staff from the Jordan campus.
- Herriman Delegate: 2-year term (7/1/26–6/30/28). Represents staff from the Herriman campus.
