Conference & Training Rooms

Room Reservation Requests

To request a room reservation, please send an email to deanne.arvizu@slcc.edu. Please include the following information:

  • Date of your event
  • Beginning and end time
  • Event title
  • Meeting host and secondary host
  • Food/no food
  • Room setup (classroom, u-shape, square, pods of 4 or 5)
  • Guest Wi-Fi needs (number of individuals requiring guest Wi-Fi access and duration of license)
  • Zoom video conferencing assistance (if necessary)

We recommend that all presenters bring their own laptop with the presentation and a USB drive with the files. (Please see below for video conferencing information.)

Rooms

*Conference Room (TB 225D-DF) (Accommodates 12) This conference room has one large rectangular table, a dry erase board, LCD TV screen and telephone conferencing. This room also has ShareLink wireless display (WD) or HDMI (in table) hookup for laptops. Power outlets are available in the table cubbies and on the walls. If prior notice is given, video conferencing can be provided with a mobile webcam and microphones.

*PDC Large Training Room (TB 225D-A) (Accommodates 30) This room has rectangular tables and can be utilized as a classroom or conference room; the layout can be in a classroom, u-shape, square or pods of 4-5 setup. A projector, screen, and wall-mounted and mobile dry erase boards are included in the room. For technology, this room features a ShareLink wireless display (WD), an in-room PC with a front and rear webcam and overheard microphones, and an HDMI cable for laptop hookup. Zoom video conferencing and/or recording is available upon request. Power outlets can be found in floor boxes throughout the room, and along the walls. *This room can be combined with the small training room to seat 50 people.

*PDC Small Training Room (TB 225D-B) (Accommodates 18) This room has rectangular tables and can be utilized as a classroom, conference room, or for interviews; the layout can be in a classroom, u-shape, square or pods of 4 or 5 setup. A projector, screen, and wall-mounted and mobile dry erase boards are included in the room. For technology, this room features a ShareLink wireless display (WD), an in-room PC with a front and rear webcam and overheard microphones, and an HDMI cable for laptop hookup. Zoom video conferencing and/or recording available upon request. Power outlets can be found in floor boxes throughout the room, and along the walls. *This room can be combined with the large training room to seat 50 people.

Kitchen Area (TB 225D-C) This area is available to use for your events. A refrigerator, microwave and hot/cold/room temp water machine is available. Please note there can be several events daily in this shared space. Scheduling is an option for private use.

OIT Computer Lab Training Room (TB 225D-E) (Seating for 24) Reserve through the Office of Information Technology. Contact Gus Calder in OIT at gus.calder@slcc.edu.

Video Conferencing

A type of online meeting where two or more people engage in a live audio-visual call. The participants can see, talk, and share content with each other in real time. The session can also be recorded for later viewing. The college currently uses Zoom video conferencing. If you request video conferencing assistance, we will place a Help Desk Work Order and a Video Conferencing team member will be assigned to work with you to coordinate their support. Video Conferencing will provide a half-hour test period before an event.
