Surplus Services and Mission

  1. Picking up College property in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Managing a warehouse inventory for proper accounting of College Assets.
  3. Coordinating with Facilities departments on projects and clean outs.

Surplus Sales and Retention of Proceeds

The disposal of college‑owned assets and the retention of proceeds from surplus sales are managed in accordance with SLCC policy. An official memo is available below to clarify these practices and may be referenced or shared when appropriate.

Surplus Mission Statement

Our mission is to properly account for and dispose of all assets and property acquired by Salt Lake Community College in a timely manner in accordance with Federal, State and College Policies. We will accomplish this goal through constant stewardship of all items that come to Surplus and ensure that we recover the highest possible value for all items, whether through sales, recycling, or proper disposal of materials. We put our students, faculty and staff first and endeavor to make all their daily activities occur in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
