Research and Grants Development

Program Description

A culture of scholarship and innovation is crucial to the achievement of SLCC’s strategic goals. To that end, the Offices of Sponsored Projects (OSP), Faculty Development and the Office of the Provost are seeking to more effectively engage full-time faculty and staff in research and grant development opportunities. By directly investing in the discovery and application of knowledge related to SLCC students, teaching and learning methods, operational processes within higher education, and faculty and community engagement, we intend to create a larger pool of faculty and staff who actively pursue externally funded scholarly projects, and whose scholarly work contributes to student, institutional, and community success.

Our intention is to increase the pool of faculty and staff who actively pursue externally funded scholarly projects. In supporting faculty and staff to pursue knowledge related to SLCC students; advancing teaching and learning methods; developing operational processes within higher education; and further engaging faculty, students, and community we hope to effectuate student, institutional, and community success.

The Research and Grant Development Program contains two tracks. The Grant Development Fellowship track is offered by the Office of Sponsored Projects. The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Fellowship track is offered by Faculty Development.
