Digital Screen Graphic Request

There are screens located around each of SLCC’s campuses, so Digital Signs are a great way to communicate event details and other time-sensitive information to students and staff. IMC can help get your event flyer or crucial information the screentime it deserves (psst…don’t have an existing graphic? Our Design Studio can help with that too!).

Submit a Digital Screen Graphic Request

To ensure that the College brand and strategic message are consistent, clear, cost-effective, and representative of quality education, IMC is responsible for final review and approval of all graphics submitted for digital signs.

Submission Guidelines for Digital signs

Updated September 2025

Sizing

Graphics for campus monitors must adhere to a 16x9 widescreen aspect ratio (1920x1080 minimum, 3200x1800 maximum). 72dpi will be accepted, but 120dpi or 300dpi is preferred.

Two vertical screens, placed back-to-back, are available on the Alder Plaza at the Taylorsville Redwood campus. This location sees heavy foot traffic and has high visibility. For placement on the vertical screens, submit a 9x16 version of your 16x9 slide (the same ratio, just flipped on its side).

Runtime/Date

Along with your graphic submission, you must provide an expiration date and time. For example, if your event ends on September 12 at 6 pm, your submission’s expiration date is September 12 at 6 pm (not September 13).

Information + QR Codes

The default screen time of each graphic is 14 seconds, so be careful not to overload your submission with copy. Instead, approach designing your graphic like a freeway billboard, with all vital information available at a glance, along with a web address or QR code to get more info. (Note: QR codes are best legible to phones when placed toward the center of your graphic—please avoid placing them near the edges.)

Locations

Unless specified otherwise, all flyers will be set to run on all screens on all campuses, so please be as specific as possible about the locations of your event, making sure to include campus name. For example, instead of “Join us at the student center,” say “Join us at the Dr. Deneece G. Huftalin Student Center at the Taylorsville Redwood campus.” To have your graphic shown at one campus location, only at certain campus locations, or only on certain screens, please specify which in your request.

Video

Our monitors are set up to display video, adhering to the 16x9 aspect ratio. Our screens don’t have audio, so all videos with dialogue must have subtitles. Videos can be submitted as MP4 or .MOV files. The maximum runtime for videos is 20 seconds.

File Types

Please submit graphics in PNG, JPG, or PDF format. Submissions will not be usable if they are sent as PowerPoint, SharePoint, Illustrator, or After Effects files.

Multiple Submissions

Please only submit one graphic per event (multiple language versions for a single event are welcome).

If you have multiple submissions, please indicate if you would like them displayed back-to-back or dispersed throughout other screen content.
