*Ai Vo “B”, Specialist II, Enrollment Services

B has a welcoming smile to all who enter the SSB WPC building. She's knowledgeable and goes out of her way to help students. She provides needed information to individuals who come to her. If she doesn't know, she finds someone who does.

Amy Scheelke, Librarian 2, Library Services

Amy has been serving as the Chair of the Utah Academic Library Consortium's Professional Development committee for the past year. In this role she has supported SLCC librarian participation in engaging with colleagues across the state and in ensuring that our librarians are able to develop themselves professionally. This work is so important and appreciated!

Annette Shelton, Manager 1, Biology

Annette is hardworking passionate teacher and lab manager making sure her class and others run smoothly. She is an amazing supervisor who is willing to listen and teach always. Her support has made those around her better and have more opportunity to give their time to students. Her respect for students and staff is unmatched, that is why she should be nominated for a staff star.

Brandon Quist, Specialist III, Enrollment Services

Brandon Quist provides exceptional service at WPC. Brandon is welcoming to those who enter the SSB at WPC. With a smile on his face, Brandon provides answers to those who come to him. He helps with opening doors for those carrying a big load. He guides people to where they need to go. When Brandon sees something that needs to be done, he gets it done.

Christian Sherwood, Specialist I, Accessibility & Disability Services

Chris makes SLCC a better place to work by creating a welcoming environment. In her first week working with us, she brought in donuts for the office, and she always goes out of her way to make people smile.

*Dan Johnson, Specialist 3, Information Tech

Dan went out of his way to support our division during an accreditation survey. When our faculty were fully occupied, he made the difference when it mattered most with his friendly and knowledgeable presence. On top of that, he made sure multiple conference systems on Jordan Campus worked better than when he arrived! He is an absolute delight to work with, know his stuff, and is a credit to his team!

*Dollysh Fifita (Dolly), Specialist I, Access & Disability Services

In a last-minute front desk need, we asked our Specialist I Dollysh if she was available, and she was more than happy to support the department. Dollysh supported our Redwood campus even though her site is in South City. This is just an example of how willing Dollysh is to go above and beyond her job description.

Erica Gudino, Librarian 1, Library Services

Erica has done an outstanding job in the new role of Outreach Librarian. She connects with students, staff, and faculty at campuses where there is no library. She plans new outreach events and fun activities. Erica does a great job in this position! Thank you, Erica!

James Moyer, Coordinator 1, Accounting

James was very helpful navigating some issues with my Direct Deposit. I appreciated how he stayed on top of it, and proactively was contacting me to update me on progress. It's great to have someone so responsive and responsible at SLCC.

*Jen Hughes, Coordinator 2, Risk Management

Jen is SLCC’s Policy Coordinator. During 2024 she has facilitated the completion of 24 policies. She has established a process to help policy originators maneuver through the Policy Review process. She is an excellent writer and works well in large meetings where there are diverse positions about how policy should be written. Jen does a great job, and the college is very lucky to have her.

Keith Slade, Librarian 2, Library Services

Keith is a strong team player who does his best to grow his skills to meet SLCC's needs. He recently led a campus-wide lunch and learn on misinformation. Attendees at the session shared that they would reuse his slides in their classes to help students better understand this issue.

Kimberly Ward, Director, Institutional Marketing

Kimberly has worked tirelessly to integrate our shared work and improve our processes and completed a comprehensive audit or her team with grace. She is always the first to help get things done and has made marketing request easier for clients across the College. She is passionate about her work and getting things done and looking to do better in the future. She is an asset to IMC and SLCC.

Krystal Cruz, Specialist II, Student Services

Krystal is full of fun ideas on how to get the students to feel more welcome at our Jordan Student Center. She always makes sure she's on time and has a smile on her face to welcome everyone who comes by! Thanks, Krystal, for being AMAZING!!

Michael Toy, Librarian 1, Library Services

Michael is a wonderful liaison librarian for the health sciences, recently he revised our outreach to health sciences classes to better integrate our services into classes. This work is essential for supporting our students and faculty.

*Qai Gerber, Specialist I, Accessibility & Disability Services

Qai is one of our new Specialists I. He is incredibly professional and goes above and beyond in supporting South City Campus ADS & testing. Recently, we needed support in covering the front desk, and Qai was willing to take on the role and help us on a day in which a lot of the staff was out sick. Qai is Great!

Rebecca Goleniewski, Administrative Assistant I, Div of Health Professions

Rebecca has demonstrated dedication and hard work as our Admin. During a time of transition, she is adaptable and is committed to supporting faculty and able to maintain stability during this period of change. She has a strong work ethic, and we look forward to transitioning to a permanent Associate Dean, Rebecca will again be invaluable to manage this transition with little impact.
