  • Abby Haslam, Specialist II - Student Center Office
    She goes out of her way to make sure information for Lost and Found is updated. She is very collaborative in helping others with updates for the school. I think Abby is the ideal employee. She is very nice. Very professional. She has worked here for years, and I would like her work to be recognized. She is upbeat and happy to help, making students and employees feel welcome to come to her if they have a question.

    Thank you for being on-call and stepping away from family during the winter holiday break—and throughout the year—to adjust door schedules, repair exterior doors, and resolve other building issues. Your commitment to going above and beyond is truly appreciated.

    I worked with Anastasia on a project, and she was great to work with. She is knowledgeable, flexible and went above and beyond to be sure all the details were covered. SLCC is lucky to have her. Anastasia deserves this Staff Star!

    Cindy is the heartbeat of the TAB.     David consistently makes SLCC a better place to work and learn through his deep knowledge of college processes and his willingness to support others. He is gracious with his time, listens carefully to the needs brought to him, and works diligently to find solutions. His collaborative approach and commitment to excellence help create an environment where faculty, staff, and students can thrive.
  • *Dawn Killpack, Coordinator - Dean School of Health Science
    Dawn keeps things running and helped close out the largest application session for our competitive programs with a very tight turnaround time with notifications needing to be sent for interview invites she met and exceeded the deadline. Her attention to detail, willingness to help and compassionate heart for the students are appreciated!
  • Dustin Bradford, Specialist II - Enrollment Services
    Dustin is helpful and good to work with. He's quick to communicate and respond to various messages. He lends a hand, and is hard worker, respectful and offers up solutions. For example, during some of the departmental shifts at the beginning of the semester, he succinctly explained his offices' new policy on signing our A-frames and arrow signs.
  • Gicela Stoof, Operations Associate - School of Prof & Econ Development
    Gisela is such a great resource and always happy to help Spanish speaking callers anytime I need someone to assist she is cheerful and so kind. She has been a tremendous help to me and my department, and I so appreciate her willingness to support our students.
  • Hans Hardle, Coordinator - Cashiering
    Hans is always ready to go the extra mile for our students to help them with complicated issues. Students asking questions around the tuition deadline is always a heightening time for cashiers. Hans can focus on each student, make them feel heard and address their worries and concerns. He's a great asset to the Cashiering Dept and the school.

    Heather is one of the hardest working individuals. She was able to cement staff and faculty for future events, and reserve spaces in a timely manner. She communicates fast, efficiently, offers help and follows up with future events, keeping track or dozens of events throughout the semester. She is reliable, knowledgeable, and always willing to help and work with others in a highly professional capacity.

    Jennifer is always there for the student, working with the student, helping them to understand what they don't.

    Johnny always goes above and beyond to support both students and the library. He happily takes on new projects and is always happy to learn new ways to support students and other staff. His kindness, generosity, and humor shine through every day, ensuring that the library is a joyful and welcoming place for all.
  • Kera Torrence, Coordinator - Corporate Solutions
    Kera coordinated efforts to get multiple people Microsoft Office proficiency certificates. We do not have the budget for employee development activities. Kera learned of the resource and encouraged multiple departments to participate. I am grateful for her efforts to promote learning opportunities in an environment of campus community.

    Leisina ensures that SLCC library resources remain current. She manages collection renewals, acquisitions, helping maintain a balanced and inclusive collection.   • Lisa Larson, Coordinator - Accounts Payable
    Lisa is a wealth of knowledge and excellent support. Navigating the nuances and procedures of SLCCBuy, contracts, invoices, etc. It can sometimes be tricky, but Lisa is always there to lend a helping hand and help us navigate through so we can properly order supplies/equipment and gain services for our department. She is a joy to work with.

    Mercy has been nothing but a hero to us in Biology. She is always available, efficient, and willing to go above and beyond for our department's needs. I have enjoyed working with her immensely.

    Since Patrick joined our department, he has led us all into a new era of cooperation, and team building we have not had in several years. He has effectively torn down the silos that had us separated for so long.

    I have known Ron for more than six years. I did not work closely with him but often heard very good feedback about him. Since he has been the Associate Dean I have worked closely with him, and he makes working here better. He is wise, patient, approachable and funny. He has a deep knowledge of the department rules and policies. His leadership reliability and positive presence make a meaningful difference in our department daily.

    Thank you, Sign Shop, for your work on the emergency signage. Producing more than 300 signs in such a short timeframe, all while managing your regular workload, is no small feat. Your expertise, dedication, and attention to detail have not gone unnoticed. I appreciate your commitment and your willingness to go above and beyond.

She shows up to work with a smile and prepared to help when needed. Tami is always ready to work on the next project and if you want something done, Tami is willing to do it.

    Tyler is quick to respond and communicate efficiently. I have worked with him on events, and he is professional and easy to talk to. He is helpful, kind to those he works with, and offers good ideas and alternatives. For example, while we were searching for wireless mics in storage, he was able to test all of them and offer strategies for how to best set up the wired mics as well.
