The college uses Office 365 Outlook (firstname.lastname@slcc.edu) email for official communication and notifications.
Work with your department to submit a request to access VPN, Banner, Canvas or other college systems.
Attend the New Employee IT Orientation to gain further insights into our SLCC systems and be prepared for success.

Work with your supervisor or department's associates to fill out the Key and Electronic Access forms. Classrooms and offices are outfitted with a key or proximity lock (access provided on a fob).
Our goal is to maintain a safe, secure campus environment for students, staff, faculty and visitors. We care about your well-being on campus. Stay alert. If you see something, speak up and act quickly. Together, we can keep our campus safe.
Enroll in Emergency Alert System
The SLCC Emergency Alert System delivers real-time information about campus emergencies. Alerts include campus closures such as weather or snow days and safety directions such as any "evacuate" or "secure in place."
- Develop a syllabus.
- Review the grading system for your assigned course(s).
- Request print copies through the Academic Service Center office.
- Provide your department chair with a copy.
- Develop a schedule of class meetings which includes the designated college holidays
- Set up your course in Canvas
- Visit the classroom(s) and practice operating classroom technology.
- Review Faculty Handbook and Student Handbook
- Visit Faculty Support Centers to navigate college processes, systems, and resolve problems.
- Contact Technology Support for help with classroom technology.
